Drug dealers in school neighborhoods
Neighborhood Dealers & School Days
In the very recent past, my daughter was attending a local S.W. community high school. This memory is easily recollected, like a still frame in my mind, seeing young kids with backpacks on sitting outside a convenience store a quarter mile from the nearby high school. This occurrence manifested enough times to spark a little more than curiosity. Observations, thus, were taken a step further.
On several additional trips to the high school, it was decided to sit in the car at this convenience mart to write down exactly what was occurring. An individual would exit the store and leave a package nearby a dumpster outside whereby the adolescent picked up the bag.
There are two possibilities to describe what was occurring:
1. The store was feeding the school kid—perhaps not cared for at home or
2. The man coming out of the store was dealing drugs
3. Money allegedly had already been exchanged inside the store
What is known is the store was closed and the building was towed away. It doesn’t take a Michael Miller to figure out what local police and detectives had already observed rounds off the 202. It appears 24-hour convenience marts offer up a lot more than coffee and donuts.
Thank you for your tireless observations and saving our children from those who prey on them for their own financial benefit.
