Arizonans Safeguard Against Covid and Other Disease(s)

How quickly we forget

It was January 2020 when Covid reached the desert in Phoenix, Ariz. As of June 3, 2021, Arizona Public Health Authorities reported 322 cases of Covid 19 and five deaths. Recent X twitters, April 2025, from 'alleged' someone in the recruiting sector asked for explanation of absence during Covid.....Come on, stay with us.

Analogies are great in writing. If you don't forget x girlfriends or boyfriends, out of purported mutual respect or perhaps a flame that still burns, you do not forget something like Covid. (Guess that implied love is a disease of the heart, lol. Things that rock your world: no pun intended.

I'm wondering if people just smoke too much weed or something that affects their memory or, perhaps, hold an insane level of narcissism. And this is not suggested of the human resource and recruiting field in which I'm a contributor. This being said, forgetting about the grievous impact of COVID-19 and its mutations, the disease was never something to be taken lightly, like Polio, or Measles. It's inexcusable and reeks of Dark Personality Traits of psychosis, addiction. or narcissism.

As a side bar, there is a host of antecedent causes discussed in the DSM Psychiatric Diagnostic Manual  which iterate reasons for memory loss and suppression of traumatic memories. Your GP also has the Physician's Desk Reference.

Keeping the focus sharp, and out of the weeds, taking personal responsibility for your own life (If you are of a developmentally appropriate age, and with an IQ that allows thoughtful contemplation to transpire. The fury of COVID triggered much conduct disorder whereby individuals took financial advantage of the sick and marginalized others to commit forensic and other crimes. And government is seeing to it that this is stopped.

Bottom Line: if you're having such memory loss as to when individuals were actually ordered to confinement due to COVID-19, you might want to see your GP with questions regarding memory loss. Or you could consider self-medication issues as alcohol or other drugs (AODs) abuse that impairs memory (Capuzzi & Stauffer, 2024).

As with 911, the COVID deaths are grievous losses we will not forget. From June 2021, Arizona reported to Public Health Authorities 2,484,671 deaths due to the disease and its respiratory complications, while reiterating 29,852 Arizonans diagnosed with Covid survived. Arizona's Census Bureau in 2025 reports a total population of 6,928,688; thus, to date, Arizona has lost nearly one third of its population to Covid.

Stay positive, enjoy the beauty around us, and make it a great evening & weekend!
